Space Launchers in Europe and future trends: exchange of views with the EU member states

In the EU Industrial Strategy updated in May 2021, the Commission considered the preparation of a European Alliance on Space Launchers. On this basis, Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for Internal Market, is organising an online exchange of views with ESA, Member States and national space Agencies on Monday 27 September 2021 (16:30 – 18:30).

The online event  ‘Space launchers in Europe and future trends: exchange of views with EU Member States’ represents an opportunity to exchange with Member States, including in particular national Space Agencies, on the challenges faced by the EU vis-a-vis its global competitors and possible actions to address them. It will touch upon the demand and supply sides, analyze market trends, including technology, for the next 10-15 years in the launcher segment and consider possible avenues for further joint action towards a globally competitive, cost-effective, reliable and autonomous EU access to space, covering all ranges of lifts.

It should be noted that only representatives from ESA, National Administrations and National Space Agencies will be allowed to participate in the event.
