Funded under the European Defence Fund (EDF), TeChBioT develops a miniaturised, low-cost gas chromatography–ion mobility spectroscopy (GC-IMS) instrument for the rapid detection and identification of chemical and biological warfare agents. The technology is enhanced by artificial intelligence and deep learning, which enables reliable discrimination of chemical and biological threats within complex environments.
In parallel, the MoSaiC project, also funded under the EDF, contributes innovative sampling technologies and real-time monitoring capabilities to support chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat mapping and response.
About the closing event
Join leading experts, innovators and decision-makers for an engaging full-day event showcasing the next generation of CBRN defence detection technologies.
Bringing together defence, civil protection, research, industry and policy communities, the event will present the most impactful public results of the TeChBioT and MoSaiC projects. Panel discussions will focus on the current status and future needs in chemical and biological detection, end-user requirements, the importance of strengthened cooperation between research, industry, military and civilian stakeholders, and the safe and responsible integration of artificial intelligence in this critical field.
