EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2025: Eight Local Organisers Selected to Drive Defence Innovation Across the EU

EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2025

The next EUDIS Defence Hackathon competition will be launched on Europe Day, 9 May, and will continue until 11 May. The EUDIS hackathons have reached another milestone, with the selection of the following eight local organisers for the May edition:

  • ARRIBES ENLIGHTMENT, Spain
  • Bayern Innovativ GmbH, Germany
  • Fondazione E. Amaldi (FEA), Italy
  • Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania
  • Krakow Technology Park, Poland
  • National Defence Technology Center (NFC), Denmark
  • Prague Innovation Institute, Czech Republic
  • Riga Technical University (RTU), Latvia

The EUDIS Hackathon calls for the participation of creative and talented EU and Ukrainian nationals with disruptive ideas to to create robust solutions that can enhance Europe and Ukraine's defence capabilities. Background

The EUDIS Defence Hackathon is a European Commission initiative under the EU Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS), which supports European innovators, researchers, and defence experts to collaborate on solutions that will strengthen EU defence. The Hackathon itself will be conducted simultaneously across the above eight locations. The local organisers will bring together top innovators and ensuring tangible, real-world impact. The EUDIS Hackathon welcomes Ukrainian participants, further integrating their expertise and insights into the European defence innovation ecosystem.
