Space investments - capacity building programme for fund managers

Are you working for a VC fund and interested in gather intellligence on space investments? The theme of the first in a series of five workshops is “Infrastructure lifecycle support from space”. It takes place on 28 March 2022 at EUSPA in Prague as well as online.

The European Commission together with EIF, ESA and EUSPA are organising the capacity building programme tailored to your needs as fund manager, to share knowledge about space markets, growth prospects and conditions, technology development and business models.

The Commission will also launch the €1 billion CASSINI Facility, an InvestEU facility offering capital to VC funds aiming to set up a new space-focused investment fund. The call for expression of interest will be published by EIF in March 2022.

Investments in space technology, infrastructures and digital applications are quickly growing segments where investors can find many exciting European companies with deep tech products and innovative business models. If you are aiming to become an active investor in this field, or want to gather more information before deciding to raise a new fund, then the capacity building programme is for you.
