Are you involved in civil protection or emergency response activities? Would you like to improve how your organisation prepares for and manages disasters using EU Space data and services? The SUNSHINE project, which is developed under the guidance of the European Commission’s DG DEFIS and in partnership with DG ECHO, is launching a series of training seminars designed to help professionals in this field use EU Space data and services to strengthen disaster resilience across Europe.

Four multi-day in-person seminars will be held in 2025 and 2026, and the first one will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 24 to 28 November 2025.

What will participants learn?

  • The benefits of EU Space tools for disaster management and risk reduction, and how these support the EU Disaster Resilience Goals
  • How to register for, request, use and benefit from Copernicus Emergency Management Service  products
  • How to use new Galileo-based services to deliver targeted emergency warnings
  • Best practices for using EU Space data and services, illustrated through real-world use cases based on past disaster events

Why fill in the survey?
