Did you know that the Galileo Satelites are named after children? Back in 2011 the European Commission launched an EU wide drawing competition, where children who won would have one of the Galileo satelites named after them. The first bunch of the competition included 26 winners from 26 EU countries.
In 2019 the European Commission needed to name three more satellites, and they are looking for entries from Croatia, Norway, and Switzerland.
Below you can find all the winners along with their drawings
The jury selected 9-year-old Shriya from Stavanger as the winner of the 2019-2020 competition.
The jury selected 8-year-old Nikolina from Ražanac (Zadar) as the winner of the 2019-2020 competition.
The award ceremony will take place once the situation caused by the coronavirus outbreak returns to normal. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
