Time:
1 December 2021,2:00pm – 6:00pm (CET)
2 December 2021, 9:00am – 1:00pm (CET)
Description:
By virtue of the increasing cooperation between the European Union and Western Balkan countries, this two-day online event aims to identify and discuss the solutions that the EU flagship programmes Galileo, EGNOS and Copernicus can deliver to the region, with special regard to the agriculture and emergency management sectors.
Earth Observation and navigation services are currently supporting the EU’s post-pandemic economic recovery through a wide range of services and industrial applications. The fight against natural disasters such as wildfires and floods has also seen such space products take on a primary role.
On December 1 & 2 2021, representatives from the industry, academia and EU and local institutions will unite to explore how space data and services could help public authorities and businesses in the Western Balkan countries to better manage and respond to emergencies and natural disasters.
